Here at Balmonds we know very well how frustrating and expensive it can get trying to find an emollient that works for your skin without aggravating sensitive or dry skin conditions. Too many creams contain perfumes or ingredients that can sting or cause reactions and it can be very hard to know if something will cause a reaction before you’ve handed over yet more money to buy it.

With this in mind, we’ve put together a bundle of the three most popular creams from the award-winning Balmonds Range for dry skin, so you can try them out without having to buy the full size products.

It consists of 5ml samples of Skin Salvation, Daily Moisturising Cream and Intensive Hand Cream, in little pots just big enough to last a few applications, so you can do a patch test for 24 hours with each of the three emollients and see how your skin tolerates them.

Contains one 5ml pot each of the following products:

Skin Salvation is a thick, oil-based ointment for intensive daily hydration, especially useful if you suffer from very dry, itchy or irritated skin because it contains absolutely no preservatives, fragrances or other artificial additives that might trigger a flare-up. Because it’s oil not water-based it is much less likely to sting on application, even when skin is broken or damaged from itching. For full information please click here.

Daily Moisturising Cream is formulated with our usual combination of herbal tinctures but in a silky-smooth, vegan-friendly shea butter base. Packed full of vitamins and essential fatty acids, this mild yet effective moisturising cream is perfect for daily use to maintain a healthy skin balance, especially on areas of unbroken but dehydrated skin. For full information please click here.

Intensive Hand Cream is a deeply-nourishing but wonderfully gentle cream that we formulated to keep hard-working hands healthy and hydrated. The soft, shea butter-based balm works both as a protective barrier against environmental irritants and as a super-nutritious boost for skin that needs extra help, feeding it with the essential fatty acids and vitamins it needs to maintain its regular cycle of regeneration and repair. All three products are totally free from parabens, petrochemicals and perfumes, which makes them perfect for dry skin and also suitable for people who may be prone to eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis and dry, sore, itchy skin conditions.

Suitable for all ages and skin types.

I find the tiny little sample pots amazingly useful to carry around with me; I use the ointment as a lip balm and take the hand cream 5ml pots with me on flights etc for instant moisturising top-ups.

    Directions for use

Skin Salvation can safely be applied to any part of the body as thickly and as often as needed.

If it’s a cold day then the ointment can be quite firm and harder to apply; this is perfectly normal and is just a quality of the natural beeswax we use. You can warm up a small amount of the salve in your hand before use; that’ll make it much easier to smooth on.

If your skin is really dry and in need of some intensive hydration, it can be really helpful to apply a good thick layer of ointment before bed and leave it on overnight. If you do this, we’d advise wearing old pyjamas as the salve can stain over time.

The ointment is safe for use on babies (from six weeks) and children.

You can apply the Daily Moisturising Cream liberally to any part of the body, face or hands as often as you need to, throughout the day.

When applying moisturisers please remember to treat your precious skin with great care! Apply any emollient gently in the direction of your hair follicles to reduce the risk of further skin irritation or damage and try not to rub the skin.

The cream is safe for use on babies (from six weeks) and children.

Intensive Hand Cream, use as much and as often as you want, and re-apply after washing your hands.

It is safe for use on babies (from six weeks) and children. It can be safely used on any area of the body, including your face, hands and feet.

The first time you use it, you’ll need several pumps to release the air and begin to dispense the cream. Discard the small amount that collects in the nozzle between applications as exposure to the air can affect the appearance and the texture of the cream.

We recommend customers patch test on an unaffected area close to the affected area before use (leave for 24 hours) as some people may be allergic to herbs, oils or beeswax. Do not use if you are sensitive or allergic to any of the ingredients in this product.
