Skin Salvation developed at a Brighton kitchen table when a mother needed a safe, all-natural moisturiser for her daughter’s eczema.
Then known by our old brand name “Pure Potions,” is featured in the local press and begins to be sold at fairs and health stores across the city.
2018
Pure Potions, which was stocked across the UK in Holland & Barrett by this time, is bought by Andrew Gerrie, who brings the benefit of his 20 years of experience at Lush.
2020
We change our name from PurePotions to Balmonds, rebrand and initiate a strategy for global expansion, launching dedicated websites in China and the U.S.
2023
Our research and development capability grows and we invest in new product development to grow our range.
2024
A Medical Device License is issued to Skin Salvation balm, which enables our hero product to become a medically licensed treatment for the symptoms of eczema, psoriasis and other dry or inflammatory skin conditions.
