Q+A With TSW Warrior Michaela Warne

Q+A With TSW Warrior Michaela Warne

We chat to campaigner - and fervent Balmonds fan! - Michaela Warne about how she manages her eczema flares.

Do you feel as though none of your friends fully understand what it’s like to have eczema? Do you often wish you could ask for advice from those who are in the same boat as you or get an insight into someone else’s journey with Eczema? Well, this National Eczema Awareness Week we are hosting a Q+A session with the lovely Michaela as part of our #ShareYourFlare campaign.

Michaela runs a YouTube channel (find it here at Michaela Warne) where she posts updates on her eczema and topical steroid withdrawal journey. (She is also active on TikTok @aelawarne and Instagram @michaelawarne, so make sure you go check her out.)

Visit the @Balmonds_Skincare Instagram stories on Monday 12th September to submit your questions for Michaela, and then remember to check back again on Thursday 15th September, where she will be answering them all!

Here’s a little introduction to Michaela:

My name is Michaela and I've had eczema since around the age of 3/4. I've been going through TSW (topical steroid withdrawal) for just over two years. I found out about TSW by looking for ways to improve my ‘eczema’, then I came across TSW and instantly started my journey.

In January 2022 I decided to post my own skin/TSW videos on YouTube to raise awareness for this very unknown condition, while also trying to help others that are going through the same condition. I still very much deal with my skin and TSW symptoms on a daily basis but I'm so much better than I was this time last year.

Everyone's skin is different, what works for me might not work for you but, if you did want to ask me any questions, I'm more than happy to try and answer them!
